Pickens Touts Natural Gas, Energy Independence At Baylor Speech

Speaking before a packed house at Baylor's Waco Hall, Pickens spoke at length on the need for America to end its reliance on foreign oil, and touted his "Pickens Plan" which includes using natural gas to power America's trucking fleet. He spoke with KWBU's Derek Smith before the event.

Next week, the Natural Gas Act referred to in this interview and greatly supported by Pickens will be introduced in Congress. Speaking to the Baylor crowd last night, Pickens said it would provide tax credits towards the purchases of natural gas powered vehicles, incentivizing manufacturers to produce them.
