This Saturday the river downtown will stir with boats competing in the Head of the Brazos Regatta. The tournament is hosted by Baylor’s crew team and will stretch from Cameron Park to the Ferrell Center. It’s the first time the competition has happened in nearly ten years.
With the new Baylor football stadium opening in August, downtown Waco’s about to have a lot more cars on game days. Businesses are hoping to capture some of the extra foot traffic. But the city is still trying to figure out how to get everyone from downtown to the stadium.

The Balcones distillery has gotten so many awards, they’re starting to have trouble keeping up with demand. And they’re expanding soon. But they want to stay small--and most importantly--in Waco.
