Waco Baha'i Center Shows Advocacy Through Art

Local artist Tony Bryant says the stories of women persecuted for teaching inspired his mural.

Scrawled on walls in cities like New York, Rio De Janeiro, and London are the words “education is not a crime.” You can now find that phrase in Waco. It’s part of an international awareness campaign. KWBU sat down with the mural's artist and a member of the Baha'i Center to find out more.

In this interview Fuad Khozein, a member of the Waco Baha'i Center, talks about how he first learned of the Education is Not a Crime campaign. Artist Tony Bryant talks about the mural and the story that inspired it.
