Waco will be featured in a series of stories on C-Span in December. A crew from the television station has been touring Waco this week, making stops around downtown and the Baylor campus.
"We hope to not only show the rest of the country what makes places like Waco special, but also maybe shows the people of Waco something they might not have known about their own home or something they might not know about their own city or forgotten or stopped appreciating," said Ashley Hill, host of the C-Span Cities Tour.
C-Span’s programming on Waco will feature five or six pieces about Waco’s history, highlighting events like the 1953 tornado that leveled much of downtown, and institutions like the Dr. Pepper Museum and Baylor’s Black Gospel Restoration Project. The show will air on December 5th and 6th on C-Span2 and C-Span 3.
